First day..
Was almost late on my first day of work. Nt lik i wanted it.
it's so irritating, i purposely woke a bit later thinkin tt the bathroom wud b empty, in e end i still had to queue for it..lik WTH..y muz they all wanna use it at the same time? obviously i hav no patience n i didnt wanna wait..i'm e 3rd person in line lah irritating...by e time i cud use i didnt even hav time to enjoy my breakfast so jus swallowed my oat n milk n left. Luckily i did so, if nt imagine being late on first day of work! siGh..nt tt i was lookin forward to it. i dunno y also.
when i went to interview twice i was still quite enthu but then this few days my mood has been damn Black n hav been feelin v lethargic..muz b something to do w my inactiveness and my sorethroat-cough-running nose-slight fever syndrome tt i've been tryin to recover from past5days...DUn understd wHY out off SOOOOOO many days i've been free i jus had to fall sick b4 i start my new job=( i jus didnt make me feel gd ..hope it didnt show on my face today, but i've a feelin my manager was wonderin wat's wrong w me today. In fact, e usu me was nt ard today. I felt i was forcing myself to smile whole day, caN feel my face muscles lik achin..dunno y i feel so lethargic today siGh luckily today was jus a look ard day for me...they wanted me to observe n see how they did stuff..in fact e only thing i did today was to create anoth account for msn at work so basically i hav it juS to comm w ppl at work..nobody else from school or my friends noe..tt'S of cos IF i tell em;) but i dun think i'll cos i foresee really lots of stuff to follow up and complete everyday.
the beginning of my day started w Alice from e Finance dept tellin me abt the contract terms n staff benefits stated then i had to sign e agreement..i jus realise i left my copy in e office gotta make a mental note to bring it home tmr, it's private n confidential. Alice warned me that my salary amt shud nt b discussed w oths, co. policy..doesnt matter to me i cant b bothered :z..then was brought to my desk.
e staff are quite nice actually and i was surprised my desk was really p-r-e-p-a-r-e-d for me.they gave me basic stationery: pens, pen refills, paper clips, hole puncher, stapler, stapler bullets, ruler and even a new notebook for me to take notes since i'm new. was also given the co. jacket haha i tink it's e smallest they hav alr, Size Small, but it's lik large to me Oh Well..i can sing Chinese opera w e loong sleeves.. O n a co. mug too lol umm even tho it's jus small little things it really made me feel welcome n slightly happier tis morn:) my buddy for now is GK, she's prob jus 3 yrs older than me..oso from poly but SP, she was sayin she went to work aft grad n mayb furtherin her studies tis yr, by e looks of it-part time studies. .......side track a moment: i notice tt my co. has quite some pretty ladies=x really. e ladies in my dept hav v gd complexion, i wonder how they do it hmm..
ok so anyway aft my team leader intro me to everyone in the co, i had to attend an orientation abt e co., e history *established in 1976..listed in Fortune Mag for consecutive 9yrs..cool* staff benefits, co. policy, IT stuff blahblahblah...i nearly felll asleep i tell u...tt's y i was furiously blinking away..e speaker caught me doin so n tested me on wat he jus said lol managed to smoke thru pHeww..then was shown where e printers r n recorded a msg for my voice mail lol..first time talkin to a recordin sys lo..was tickled when i heard my voice on replay haha.. we did all this b4 lunch then i realise we had to stagger lunch breaks..cos we cant go off together..had to hav soemone ard all times..
was tot how to use tt v chiam phone.. n added lot of ppl whom i dunno WHo on my new MSN ..nvm i'll get to know them by n by..
